To honor the brave passengers of Flight 93…

…our government is stealing land.

I want to throw up.

Ever since I visited the Flight 93 memorial, I have maintained that no state-built, parks-service sanctioned, over-architectured and designed memorial could come close to what is there. I’m waiting for the people who want a state-built memorial, just not the design that’s been chosen, to get a clue. Maybe this will help, though I doubt it.

Given that we’re honoring “non-state actors” here, a perfect example of “the people’s militia”, a non-state memorial is the only appropriate one … which is why it can’t happen. After all, if we all defended ourselves and each other, what would be the role of the state?

Unless of course we’re really honoring “anonyous fighter pilot who kept the White House safe from terrorist-hijacked plane”…
