Isa, be thou avenged!

As part of the network’s upfront presentation to advertisers (full slate here), the network is set to announce “JC,” a half-hour show about Christ wanting to escape the shadow of his “powerful but apathetic father” and live a regular life in New York City.

In the show, God is preoccupied with playing video games while Christ, “the ultimate fish out of water,” tries to adjust to life in the big city.

Jesus wasn’t a city boy; he only went to Jerusalem on business.

I’m going to skip the cheap “skeered to show The Prophet” jab and the lamentation that Christians are too loving to give this what it deserves. But I’ll point out that Jesus is ALSO a Muslim prophet, and the Muslims have it in for Comedy Central anyway. It would be Too Damn Bad if this cartoon were the last straw that sent some raghead over the edge.

“We have to warn them that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh if they do air this show. [77]

To me, the show sounds so pointless that I think it will die quickly, with no help needed fro Moslems or Christians.
